Sam at Artistic Decor is remarkable. He was able to turn my 30-year-old timber kitchen cabinets into a brand new kitchen. I have never seen workmanship as neat and precise as the transformation of my old cupboards. His professionalism knowledge experience and skill with paint is amazing. Sam is very punctual and will explain what he’s doing every step of the way. After you patiently provided the full information we needed and saw how meticulous you were with your own equipment we knew we had picked the best! Having built our house ten years ago our kitchen cupboards were still in excellent condition only the pvc coating on the doors was cracking and coming off! The solid soft white finish is amazing! How lucky were we to find Sam after wanting to retain our timber kitchen which needed a lot of TLC to bring it back to life. I always read 5 star reviews with caution as I often wonder could someone really deserve 5 stars for every single review? In this case with Sam I can honestly say he deserves every single one. Sam is meticulous, patient, hard working, clean and tidy, listens carefully, delivers highest of standards and will turn your kitchen into a showpiece. He certainly did that for ours. It was fantastic that we could keep our solid timber kitchen and transform it into an amazing modern space without having to spend the money and time to rip it out and replace with a polyurethane kitchen that seems to be the only thing affordable and available these days. I can’t recommend Artistic Decor highly enough. A skilled tradesman combined with a professional approach is very hard to come by these days. From the first phone call right through to the end of the project, Sam exceeded our expectations. He took absolute pride in his work and took the time to explain everything thoroughly. Happily answered every one of the five million questions I threw at him. He faithfully restored and transformed our timber kitchen that we believe was in our home for around 20 years. It was previously built from recycled materials so this is the beginning of its third ‘life’. She looks absolutely beautiful and we are so thrilled with our new kitchen, it’s a 10 from me! This is the best decision I ever made. I was reticent to commit to a full reno of my kitchen due to the time, cost and inconvenience. I thought a respray of cupboards and surfaces would be a good compromise. After speaking to Sam, I realised it was actually a much better option: the sustainability of not wasting a good solid timber kitchen plus a really stylish finish that utilises what I already have and suits my aesthetic much better than 'another bland white kitchen'. Sam has a great eye and gave me a lot of much-needed advice on colour choice and finishes. He also offers a great array of 'before and after' pics of his work that will give you a good idea of how things will turn out. The job was done quickly and with minimal impact on our household. Sam is a perfectionist and takes a lot of pride in his work: he finishes the job to the highest quality and there are no 'weird corners' or unfinished gaps. His process is meticulous and his entire M.O is to recreate your kitchen anew, right down to the finest details. He will offer solutions when there is a problem and his pricing structure is totally transparent. The overall price is extremely competitive. The best thing is, the guy you talk to about the job, is the guy who turns up to do the job. That's rare.
